It has 16 digital outputs, which are designed for 1 A and divided into two supply groups with 8 channels each. A supply voltage of up to 48 V DC can be applied to the coils.
The user can set separate PWM ratios for the pick-up and holding phase. Per supply group, a current measuring function is implemented with which characteristic curves of the loads can be determined. For exact control of inductive loads, fast switch-off electronics are integrated into the module. Short-circuit, over current and over temperature monitoring also ensure safe operation.
The PW 161 has – as all modules of the S-DIAS series – compact dimensions of only 12.5 x 104 x 72 mm. The system communicates with a speed of 100 Mbit/s via the real-time Ethernet bus VARAN.
Project development and programming are also user-friendly with the object-oriented engineering suite LASAL. For simple schematic integration, an EPLAN macro is available.
