With the AI 031, an analog input module for measuring current is provided. The compact S-DIAS module has three inputs with a measurement range from 0 to 5 A AC and is designed to detect current in a 220-600 V supply. The conversion time is 1 ms per channel with a resolution of 12 bits. To decouple from the supply, external current transformers are used, which convert the applied current to 0 to 5 A AC.
The AI 031 enables the power consumption data or regen resistance and current loops of AC motors to be collected and clearly displayed in the application. The status of individual components, machines and installation sections can be therewith comfortably monitored and potential malfunctions such as high wear or sluggish motion can be detected early. The predictive maintenance makes it possible to avoid damage, machine failures and still-stand times.
The S-DIAS series offers a broad selection of DIN rail modules for targeted condition monitoring. Within the just 12.5 mm thin measuring modules, parameters such as current, voltage, temperature as well as vibration can be determined for a preplanned service of machines and systems. For the simple control cabinet integration, EPLAN macros for the S-DIAS product family are available. With the object-oriented engineering tool LASAL, the control and I/O system can be comfortably programmed and configured.
