Precision in Motion with the DC Motor Output Stages SR 011 and SR 012

The Motion series of the S-DIAS system is expanded with the SR 011 and SR 012 for control and regulation of economic DC brush motors. Both compact motor modules for the DIN rail have two enable inputs and a digital output. The SR 011 is equipped with an integrated brake chopper and a switchable incremental encoder, the SR 012 with four digital inputs that can be used as a limit switch. 

The DC motor modules are for DC brush motors with a phase current of up to 5 A and a 15 A (SR 011) or 10 A (SR 012) peak current. Different operating modes such as PWM control, current and speed regulation via IxR compensation are available. 

In the SR 011, position feedback is provided via the incremental encoder input with a 16-bit resolution and switchable RS422 and TTL signal. The integrated brake chopper provides a connection for an external brake resistor.

The STO Safety function, in accordance with EN 61800-5-2, is implemented using both enable inputs. The short-circuit proof digital output can be used for brake control or miscellaneous switching processes in the application.
