Complex Language, Simple Input

The web-based visualization tool LASAL VISUDesigner now also supports complex input systems for languages such as Chinese (Pinyin) and Japanese (Romaji). This is a major advantage for these logographic languages, which do not use an alphabet but instead use characters that represent words or parts of words.

Thanks to specially developed and implemented IME (Input Method Editor) extension components, users can now work efficiently with intelligent suggestion and replacement functions as well as auto-completion, tailored to the selected language.

The phrase-based input system, combined with integrated dictionaries, makes text input easy, even in logographic scripts. End users can enter text using characters they are familiar with.

A grid layout allows flexible display of the keyboard – including word suggestions – directly in the user interface.

The LASAL VISUDesigner development environment provides complete support for this text editor, independent of display size.
