The PVDM 087 in IP67 Protection

It combines four inputs and four short-circuit proof, back-readable outputs (+24 V/2 A - positive switching). The PVDM 087 is ideal for modular, decentralized configurations and communicates via the VARAN bus. The high performance of the real-time Ethernet system can therefore be used in the IP67 environment. The in and outputs have a separate voltage supply and are galvanically isolated from the VARAN bus. Input filters are available to suppress noise signals occurring in the signal lines. Each I/O socket is monitored for a short circuit in the sensor supply and is equipped with a status LED, which can be back read. Additional LEDs for the bus connection, voltage supply and module status enable an exact diagnostic function.

For the connection of actuators and sensors, M8 connector plugs are used. The VARAN interface as well as the in and outputs are powered with M12 connectors. The configuration in a linear structure is made possible through the VARAN-Out port. Up to 20 modules can be connected in series. The supply for the entire electronics is provided with the VARAN bus. Thanks to the reduced wiring and the compact construction (30 x 175 x 30 mm), the fully encapsulated IP67 module is ideal for use directly on the machine or system (operating temperature up to 60 °C) - for example, in the periphery of robotics or welding technology.
