Safety combined with high flexibility
The mixed module can be used, for example, to evaluate safety elements such as Emergency Stop and confirmation buttons or safely control valves or relays. Two short-circuit proof output signals test inputs and detect cross circuits.
In combination with an S-DIAS Safety CPU, the SDM 081 forms a compact mini-safety-control that can cover small safety applications and also function as a stand-alone solution. This allows a cost-effective transition to a safety control.
The S-DIAS Safety system is modular in design, which allows for easy expansion and flexible integration with the standard system of the series. Through this seamless integration, the reaction times for signal processing are in the range of a few milliseconds.
The S-DIAS Safety system is designed for the highest safety requirements and is TÜV-certified (SIL 3, SIL CL 3 in accordance with IEC 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1/-2, Cat. 4, PL e).
The LASAL SAFETY Designer allows easy programming and configuration of safety-oriented modules, as well as fast and comfortable implementation of logic connections and I/O configurations.
