As a leading manufacturer of industrial automation systems, SIGMATEK designs solutions for today’s OEM machine manufactures. We provide our customers with a complete product line ranging from PLC and HMI systems, servo drive and motion control products, to innovative and modern application development tools.

 

Sigmatek is currently seeking candidates to join our Sales Engineering Group. This position is located in the Midwest area of the USA.

Sales & Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

Develop new business of target accounts in the machine builder / OEM space:

  • Consistently execute a winning business development process.
  • Aggressively pursue all leads.
  • Conduct daily sales appointments to prospective customers to promote SIGMATEK’s full automation solution.
  • Provide product and application demonstrations to target accounts to prove SIGMATEK’s unique value proposition.
  • Generate solution concepts including written quotations and proposals of Sigmatek products for presentation to target customers.
  • Close new contracts by holding impact meetings with key decision makers.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecast and target account pipeline updates for all accounts directly served by this position.
  • Provide proper documentation and report via CRM.
  • Stay knowledgeable on all Company products, solutions and services.
  • Assist with sponsored trade shows as requested.

 

Skills & Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Four years technical or engineering degree (BSEE, BSE, BSEET, BSCS preferred) or 5 additional years of experience selling automation systems, drives or motion control.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience selling automation systems, drives or motion control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to prospect new customers
  • Must be a self-starter
