Automation technology made by Sigmatek has already been around for 25 years. Founded by Andreas Melkus, Theodor Kusejko and Marianne Kusejko in 1988, today SIGMATEK is a mid-sized company with 400 employees worldwide and an international leader in innovative automation system solutions. As the company was founded, the focus was on control technology. Over the years, the spectrum of products has grown and now includes all disciplines of automation technology; including Safety.
SIGMATEK solutions are at home in the manufacturing of fast operating series machines, such as plastic, rubber and glass technology, the food and packaging industry as well as in material handling, robotics and alternative energy branches. The Austrian automation expert accompanies its customers in a close partnership from project planning to the end of the product life cycle. "We stand for a systemic approach and provide our customers with the most modern technologies, powerful complete solutions, extensive engineering know-how and comprehensive support", says Andreas Melkus, Head of Development and Sales, pointing out the company's orientation. The integral view of the machine process makes it possible to sustainably reduce the costs of engineering new machines.
All system components are developed and produced at the main facility in Lamprechtshausen, Salzburg. "This makes us highly flexible and allows us to guarantee technical advancements, quality and long-term availability. It is also possible to develop and produce customer-specific hardware in the shortest time", explains Theodor Kusejko, Head of Materials Management and Production.
The mid-sized company is still 100 percent owned by the founding families. "We have focused consistently on growing our company and have been highly successful. Building partnerships and long-term success were thereby, always more important than optimizing short-term successes. SIGMATEK is rooted in Salzburg but is a globally active company, and always close to the customer", says Marianne Kusejko, Head of Finance and Human Resources.
