Remote HMIs up to 100 m
Bridge 100 meters with ease and that with only one cable. With HMI-Link, the operating panel can be located remotely from the CPU in the control cabinet. HMI-Link is operating system independent and based on a pure hardware solution. With a standard CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable, USB, audio and DVI signals can be transmitted to the remote display without loss.
In addition to diverse visualization data, videos are also increasingly used and played for simple initial start-up or service purposes. With HMI-Link technology, the loading times are optimized, so that even videos in full HD (1920 x 1080-pixel resolution) and 24-bit color depth are displayed flicker-free.
HMI-Link goes the distance: Operating panel and control computer can be up to 100 m away.
While the PCs of the 400 series stay in the protected control cabinet, the operating panels with HMI-Link can be placed directly on the machine. Because there is no internal CPU in the operating panel, no complex cooling system is required. This guarantees a higher mechanical robustness of the terminal and saves costs. The computing power of the control unit can be more simply adapted in the easily accessible control cabinet. You therewith achieve higher flexibility, without having to exchange the operating unit on site.
